Good Person No. 1 - Dr. Gerhard Knies

Dr. Gerhard Knies is the coordinator of TREC (The Trans-Mediterranean Renewable Energy Corporation). Basically, he is trying to find ways to help our planet. He is leading a worldwide effort to curb carbon emissions and figuring out ways to get energy from renewable resources. If there were more people in the world like him, we would probably be okay. He is trying to get solar power plants made in many places. He's a top scholar and a top guy. Cheers to you, kind sir!

Evil Person # 1- Christopher Rants, Iowa

Christopher Rants is the Republican House Minority Leader in the Iowa. Regarding a judge's decision to allow same sex couple to marry, he had this to say, "I can't believe this is happening in Iowa. I guarantee you there will be a vote on this issue come January." I thought Republicans were supposed to all for getting out of people's business. Does Mr. Rants have trouble sleeping at night? Does he frequent airport bathrooms like Sen. Craig? Who knows? Basically he is delaying the inevitable. Nine U.S. States allow same sex couples to marry or have civil unions. A lot of countries allow marriage or civil unions. It's a growing movement towards tolerance and change. Hopefully, Mr. Rants will get on this bus sooner rather than later, but I have a feeling he is going to continue hanging out at the station of the past trying to find quarters in the old payphone that doesn't even have a dialtone.

The Basis

I am tired of seeing bad people get away with things. I am tired of the unseen and unspoken evils. I am tired of trying to figure out someone's motivations for making this world evil. I hope my efforts will help educate some people. I hope by telling you who these evil people are that they will decide to grow a heart/brain/soul and decide to stop creating/doing/helping evil.

Now, I am speaking in absolutes. Evil has many levels, many faces and many avenues for it to do it's work.

First, right off the bat, I would like to state that I do not believe in any type of higher power. I am an atheist. Although, I do geniunely believe that humans should love one another and help one another. I don't think being religious is evil. But, it's my right as a human being to believe what I want as long as I don't force my beliefs onto you.

Also, I will be covering good people as well. The unsung heroes. The overlooked crusaders. The ones devoted to helping this world and others in it. So, hopefully, I will post at least once a week. Perhaps less, perhaps more.
