Dr. Gerhard Knies is the coordinator of TREC (The Trans-Mediterranean Renewable Energy Corporation). Basically, he is trying to find ways to help our planet. He is leading a worldwide effort to curb carbon emissions and figuring out ways to get energy from renewable resources. If there were more people in the world like him, we would probably be okay.
